If you want to know more about Debt Management Plans then you are in the right place! Here’s how it all works in 10 steps…
Our job is to help and guide you every step of the way. We talk to you about your situation, your specific problems and what help you need from us.
All of the help and advice we give you is clear, honest and always in your best interest. Because we take the time to discuss what you are going through, we are able to provide you with a real picture of how we can help and lay your options out clearly. We always provide you with the best advice based on your situation, but it is down to you, which debt solution you chose.
We will always highlight every option available to you and discuss the key details about the option you have chosen as well as how this is managed.
Once you have chosen a debt solution you are happy with, we will send a new client pack out to you so you can get started. This will include a written version of the advice given to you as well as a copy of our Terms of Business and other important documents. You can then read through these in your own time and complete and return what is needed when you are ready.
We believe in making things really easy for you. We can complete the setup digitally meaning you don’t have endless paperwork to fill in. We send you a fully completed electronic pack, using Adobe Echo Sign and all you do is review and sign. You just need access to email and a Smart Phone, Tablet or Computer. Quick and Simple! Alternatively we can provide postal packs if that is what you would like. Once we have received your completed pack, we contact you and let you know we have received everything and discuss any final details we need to.
Once we have your signed pack and proofs, we notify your creditors of our appointment and that their offers will follow once your first payment has been received. We usually have a response from each account within 4 weeks of the offers being sent, though some are much quicker. We always keep you updated on any acceptances or problems along the way too.
You will be allocated an account manager who will be your point of contact. We will try and make contact with you periodically to ensure your debt management plan is working for you. We will also contact you for your opinion through surveys, so you have the opportunity to shape our service and let us know how we can improve.
Ensuring your monthly payments are maintained is particularly important during the plan. All of the agreements set with your creditors are conditional on your payments being made and received on time Failure to pay may result in creditors removing the agreements, contacting you directly, charging interest to your account and looking at legal options. We will always do what we can if you keep in contact, but need to let you know the risks of missing payments.
In order to maintain the agreements with your creditors it is essential that your account is reviewed regularly, at least once per year or sooner if there has been a material change in your situation. This update is provided to your creditors and is the basis for keeping any agreements in place.
Once your account is up and running we continue to work behind the scenes and deal with any contact from your creditors as well as any day-to-day questions or issues you may have.
Fresh Start UK believes in great customer service, we will provide you with an account manager who will be your main point of contact during your plan.
The process is much simpler than most people think. Don’t be worried about picking up the phone, sending over an email, or using our contact form. We are professionals and help people in your situation everyday. We believe we have made it as easy and hassle free, so all you need to do is get in touch and tell us how we can help.
